Cacao truffles

Vegan | Refined sugar-free | Nut-free

   To make 15 bite-size truffles you’ll need:

・1/2 cup oats
・1 tbsp coconut oil
・1/2 cup (100g) pitted Sukari dates
・1 tsp cinnamon
・1 heaping tsp blackstrap molasses

・2 cloves, freshly ground

・1/4 tsp pure vanilla powder
・1/4 tsp ginger
・a pinch of salt
・about 2 tbsp cacao powder to coat the truffles


  1. Heat a pan to medium heat, melt the coconut oil, add the oats and toast them for a couple of minutes until golden brown and fragrant. Let them cool.
  2. Put the oats into the food processor along with the rest of the ingredients (except the dates) and pulse until finely ground.
  3. Then add the dates and pulse until you get a dough that easily comes together. If it’s too dry, add more dates.
  4. With wet hands roll the dough into bite-size balls and roll them in a cacao powder to cover.
